President Bola Ahmed Tinubu today officially decorated Nigeria’s newly appointed service chiefs with their respective ranks during a ceremony held at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa October 30th, 2025, Abuja, Nigeria.
The event, which also had Vice President Kashim Shettima in attendance, marked a significant moment in the administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen national security and enhance military leadership.
Those decorated include:
1. General Olufemi Oluyede – Chief of Defence Staff
2. Lieutenant-General Wahidi Shaibu – Chief of Army StStaff
3. Air Marshal Kennedy Aneke – Chief of Air Staff
4. Vice Admiral Idi Abbas – Chief of Naval Staff
The ceremony underscored the President’s confidence in the new military leadership and his administration’s commitment to tackling security challenges across the country.
