Shehu Sani, the former Senator representing Kaduna North Central Senatorial Zone, expressed gratitude for the revelation of truth regarding the $350 million loan dispute between himself and the former Kaduna State governor, Nasiru El-Rufai.
Sani disclosed that El-Rufai publicly insulted and cursed him during their disagreement over the loan issue. Speaking to the press, Sani elaborated on his efforts to prevent the former governor from burdening the state with excessive debt.
Despite facing opposition from El-Rufai, Sani remained resolute in his stance against the loans, believing that time would eventually reveal who truly had the best interests of the people of Kaduna at heart. With El-Rufai no longer in power, and his successors grappling with the consequences of the debt burden, Sani’s warnings have been vindicated.
Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has struggled to meet the financial obligations, prompting the Kaduna State House of Assembly to launch an investigation into the matter. Sani has advocated for an independent inquiry into the financial affairs of the former administration.
