Boom went the mic at President Donald Trump’s latest press conference…straight to his face.
While speaking to a gaggle of reporters crowded on a tarmac at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland March 14, one of them moved their large, fuzzy windscreen-covered microphone, causing it to bump into the U.S. leader’s lips and past his left cheek.
Trump, who was asked a question about the Gaza Strip at the time, immediately gave one of the cameras the side-eye and then raised his eyebrows and made a prediction.
“She just made television tonight,” he commented several seconds after the moment of impact. “She just became a big story tonight, right? Did you see that?”
The mic operator could be heard apologizing after bumping the president, a moment that has since gone viral. The person has not been identified.
There are no comments from the White House about the incident yet.
