Following recent reports of widespread cyber-fraud targeting Nigerian institutions, Ikeja Electric (IE) issued a formal Public Notice today, May 11, 2026.

  • The Message: Management confirms that all official payment channels—including the IE Mobile App, website, and authorized vendor networks—remain fully operational, safe, and secure.

  • The Warning: Customers are advised to ignore any unofficial messages suggesting a system compromise. IE emphasized a “Zero-Trust” policy regarding personal data: never share passwords, PINs, or OTPs with anyone claiming to be a company representative.
