The “Umbrella” singer and “HIGHJACK” rapper—who are already parents to RZA, 3, and Riot, 2—welcomed a baby named Rocki Irish Mayers on Sept. 13, Rihanna announced on Instagram Sept. 24.
The mom of three shared a photo of herself cradling the newborn, who was wrapped in a pink blanket. She also posted a picture of pink boxing gloves with ribbon ties.
Ahead of the latest arrival for Rihanna, 37, and A$AP, 36, the singer shared that they’re not the only ones in the world excited about their growing family. When asked how both of their kids feel about a new sibling while at the Smurfs premiere in Los Angeles in July, Rihanna—who voices Smurfette—told Extra, “They’re delighted.”
And as for whether Rihanna and A$AP wanted another son or daughter this time around, the “Stay” artist admitted that she’s “always wanted a girl,” but was crystal clear that she will be happy when her baby arrives no matter what.
“God knows best, right?” she continued. “And I love my boys.”
Rihanna announced she was expecting the couple’s third baby in May with a portrait by photographer Miles Diggs before officially debuting her bump at the 2025 Met Gala, where A$AP served as a co-chair.
“It feels amazing, you know?” A$AP told the Associated Press at the time about becoming a dad for the third time. “We were tired of holding that, and it was time to show the people what we was cooking up. I’m glad everybody’s happy for us, because we’re definitely happy.”
In addition to the couple’s happiness, Rihanna previously spoke about how being a mom to her kids RZA and Riot brought out new facets, which included helping her embrace her femininity.
“It makes me feel really cool to be a boy mom,” she told E! News’ Francesca Amiker in April 2024. “I get to be as casual and busted as I want to, but it also forces me to embrace the epic things about being a woman, and a female and all my femininity. I embrace it so much more now, like I wear pink.”
And in terms of her relationship with A$AP, Rihanna only has love on the brain.
