United States President Donald Trump has reacted angrily to newly released polls showing his approval rating at historic lows.
A recent ABC News/Washington Post/Ipsos survey revealed that only 39% of Americans approve of Trump’s performance after his first 100 days in office, the lowest rating for any U.S. president at this point in their term over the past 80 years. Meanwhile, 55% of respondents expressed disapproval of the Republican president’s leadership.
Complementing these findings, a New York Times/Siena College poll placed Trump’s approval rating slightly higher at 42%. However, it also noted widespread voter concerns over key aspects of his agenda.
In a heated post on his Truth Social platform on Monday morning, Trump dismissed the polls as manipulated and accused the media of corruption.
“We don’t have a Free and Fair Press in this country anymore. We have a press that writes BAD STORIES and CHEATS BIG on POLLS,” Trump wrote. “It is compromised and corrupt. SAD!”
The latest figures come at a critical juncture for Trump’s presidency, as political tensions remain high and questions about media credibility, governance, and public trust dominate the national conversation.
