The British Council in Nigeria has increased the fee for the English Language Testing System exams by 29% once again.
Beginning February 1, 2024, applicants will be required to pay N139,000 for the Computer Academic and General Training Modules.
Globally acknowledged as evidence of language proficiency for non-native English speakers, this exam’s fee increase is attributed to rising examination costs by the council.
The adjustment in price is aimed at ensuring continued provision of comprehensive support and services. This constitutes the second fee increase in five months, following the previous rise in September 2023, which elevated fees from N80,000 to N90,000 to the current N107,500.
