Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy is on his way to Washington, DC

The Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is on his way to Washington, DC for meetings with his counterpart Joe Biden and legislators at the US Congress, says the White House.

“On my way to the United States to strengthen resilience and defence capabilities of Ukraine,” Zelenskyy said on his Twitter account.

The United States is set to announce a $1.8bn military aid package for Kyiv, which for the first time includes a Patriot missile battery.

Russia is planning to give Iran advanced military components in exchange for hundreds of drones, according to British defence minister Ben Wallace.
