FirstBank of Nigeria has launched a groundbreaking facial biometric feature on its FirstMobile app, enabling customers to register and activate their devices seamlessly without needing a debit card.
The advanced facial recognition technology verifies users’ identities during onboarding, incorporating anti-spoofing detection to block fraudulent or impersonation attempts, thereby enhancing security.

By expanding onboarding options, FirstBank ensures wider access to essential services such as fund transfers, bill payments, and digital transactions with greater ease and reliability.
“We remain committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions that make banking simpler, faster, and more accessible, while deepening customer satisfaction and loyalty,” Ezirim added.
