‘Fear not’ – Defence Chief opens up on military coup in Nigeria

General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff, has reassured Nigerians that the country has nothing to fear due to the ongoing military coups in other countries. Musa visited the 6 Division of the Nigerian Army Headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to encourage the troops to remain professional and to protect democracy. He emphasized that the Armed Forces of Nigeria are dedicated to ensuring, securing, supporting, and standing by democracy, despite the apprehensions about coups in countries like Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger.
