The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman in Osun State, Sunday Bisi, has given an assurance that the local government council elections will be held soon.

Bisi made this statement during a radio political program in Osogbo, stating that the Adeleke-led administration is prepared to conduct a fresh election once the 8th Assembly is inaugurated on June 6.

The previous local government election, held on October 15, 2022 under the Adegboyega Oyetola administration, was nullified by a Federal High Court.

Since then, the local government in Osun has been functioning without elected officials.
