Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has begun a 15-day working vacation.
The vacation which commenced on April 3, 2023, is said to be the first instalment of his annual leave.
Disclosing this in a statement which was made available on Monday, the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, stated that the leave will end on April 25.
Olatunde said a letter to that effect had been transmitted to the state House of Assembly.
With the development, the Deputy Governor, Lucky Ayedatiwa, will take charge of the affairs of the state pending the expiration of the Governor’s leave.
The statement read, “Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON, today, Monday, April 3, 2023, proceeds on a 15-working-day vacation as the first instalment of his 2023 annual leave.”
“While Governor Akeredolu is away on vacation, the Deputy Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, will perform the functions of the office of the Governor.”
