The National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) has debunked recent social media reports claiming that payments are currently being made to beneficiaries of its programmes. The agency described these claims as false, misleading, and unauthorized.
In an official statement released on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, and signed by its National Coordinator and CEO, Assoc. Prof. Badamasi Lawal, NSIPA warned the public against relying on a viral Facebook post suggesting ongoing disbursements.
“We categorically state that the information circulating online is deceptive and should be disregarded in its entirety,” the statement read.
The agency condemned the spread of misinformation, emphasizing that such actions erode public trust and undermine the integrity of its initiatives aimed at empowering vulnerable Nigerians.

NSIPA reaffirmed that all legitimate announcements, including payment updates, are disseminated only through its verified platforms and traditional media outlets—not through Facebook or other unofficial social media channels.
