New Zealand Launches 10-Year ‘Parent Boost Visa’ to Reunite Migrant Families

In a major move to support family reunification, New Zealand will introduce the new Parent Boost Visa on 29 September 2025, enabling parents of migrants to stay in the country for up to 10 years.

Designed for temporary residents and skilled migrants, this visa offers a much-needed opportunity for families to stay connected, care for elderly parents, and enjoy long-term togetherness in New Zealand—without a direct path to permanent residency.
