The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), revealing that over 1.5 million out of 1,955,069 candidates scored below 200.
According to statistics published by JAMB on May 5, only 420,415 candidates scored above 200, while fewer than 1% achieved scores above 300. The report also highlighted that 40,247 underage candidates participated in the exam as a demonstration of academic excellence. However, just 467 of them (approximately 1.16%) met the defined performance threshold, pending further evaluation.
How to Check Your 2025 UTME Result Online:
1. Visit the Official Portal: Go to the JAMB result-checking portal https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/.
2. Enter Your Details: Input your JAMB registration number or the phone number used during registration.
3. View Your Result: Click on “Check My Results”. Your result will be displayed instantly. You may print or screenshot it for record-keeping.
Alternatively, Check via SMS:
1. Send a Text: Using the phone number linked to your JAMB profile, send UTMERESULT to 55019. Ensure you have at least ₦50 airtime.
2. Receive Your Score: You will receive an SMS with your result. If there’s a delay, retry after some time.
After checking via SMS, candidates are advised to log into the JAMB portal to print their official result slip for admission purposes.
