Vice President Kashim Shettima has called for the establishment of a Nigeria-UK Binational Commission to strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
Shettima praised the UK government’s support and expressed hope for more robust business relations. Shettima emphasized the need to ramp up trade and create an enabling environment for businesses to flourish.
Shettima also announced the Tinubu administration’s efforts to address Boko Haram terrorists and kidnappers, including socio-economic intervention programs.
British High Commissioner to Nigeria Richard Montgomery commended the new administration’s proactive economic policies and praised the long-standing partnership in trade, investment, security, digital technology, and education.
