The Israeli military has announced its withdrawal from the Jenin refugee camp after two days of intense aerial and ground assault, resulting in at least 11 Palestinians killed and dozens wounded.

The siege, Israel’s largest in two decades, has left a lasting impact on the small settlement, which has been home to three generations of Palestinians who fled their ancestral land during the Nakba catastrophe in 1948.

The camp’s residents, including Ahmed Abu Hweileh, have expressed their firm resolve and defiance towards Israel and its international allies.

The two-day siege involved Israeli troops, missiles, and earthmoving equipment, destroying roads and civilian infrastructure. However, civilians, not armed fighters, were the brunt of the Israeli assault.
